Definitely makes the room cold and fast too.
It can be very quiet except it has a problem from the fan motor sending waves of vibration through the unit causing the plastic [and other] to create non-normal sound [it shouldn't be] which is louder than the air flow. Propping and jamming things around the unit fixes it - if you get it right and that is not easy.
With the extension kit they don't give you [at the time of this writing] the fittings to connect the extension copper to the set the system comes with. Nor do they give an extension for the drainage & electrical wire. So you have to make a trip to Lowe's or Home Depot anyway so its better to just make your own line set.

Excellent Product |

I have bought this unit about a year ago for my garrage workshop. I had my mechanic installed it within 2 hours. I love this ac. It blows ice cold air with no noise at all. Will buy more for my sunroom and loft.
